Mineral and Water Rights

Were you aware that mineral and water rights don't automatically come with a property? You can own thousands of acres of land in our area, but if you don't have water rights how much do you think that land is worth? In other words, if you cannot water animals or crops what use does the land have... and how does that affect value? 

People in our area have managed to sell land but keep the water rights, and they've made a lot of money doing it.

What about mineral rights? This one can be complicated because it's not always clear. Can you mine minerals on your own land? Certainly a company can't come in and mine anything under my home, correct?

Do your homework and make sure you're educated on these things. If you're not, someone who is educated might have an advantage.
