How Many Homes Should I Look At?

by The Colorado Springs Group™

This one is very subjective, but I will summarize it for you. We've sold the first home we've shown to clients, and the highest number of homes we've shown to one lient is 94 (it was my mother).

It really depends on where you are looking, what kind of a market are we in, what your pricepoint is, and the number of buyers who are looking for the same thing you are.

In EVERY case where we have represented a buyer, the number of homes shown was determined by them, because they knew when they went into the right house that it was the right one for them. Even if you let us know that a specific house is the right one for you, that doesn't mean we can't look at a few more just to make sure.

The truth is, the better we are at our job, the quicker we will get you into the right homes. After we meet with you discuss things, and go through a first round of houses we will know you much better, and what you are looking for. Criteria is one thing, but seeing your reaction and understanding it when going into various homes helps us a lot more.

Here is your answer: You should look at as many homes as you need to until you are comfortable that you have found the right one. Once you're at that point, throw it in the cart (get it under contract) and proceed towards checkout (closing).
